Our student leaders meet once a month with and FCA staff member to plan the huddles so that they students can teach, read scripture, and encourage their fellow classmates! Let's hear from a student leader:⁣ "Hey! I'm Bianca and I have been involved with the FCA Huddle at Bartow Senior High School for 3 years! My favorite part of FCA is having brother and sisters in Christ on campus who I can encourage and get encouragement from while on campus. Being a student leader in FCA means a lot because it has allowed me to step up where God leads me."

God has called me to pursue my master's in Family Ministry at Southeastern University while using the last years of my soccer eligibility. I love all things soccer, nature, and Jesus. I'm looking forward to building more relationships and witnessing those "Jesus Moments" this season throughout our teams, classrooms, and wherever God has me go.

BARTOW FCA Student Leaders 🔥 FCA gives students in our huddles the chance to step up and lead the huddles! Once a month, they meet to plan the huddles, equip the students with resources, and empower them to invite their student body.

So, how do we begin the discipleship journey? We engage, we equip and we empower, in that order.⁣ Engage - We Engage relationally with others in a variety of environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives, and sharing the Gospel. We strive to connect with coaches and athletes where they are on their spiritual journey. Equip - After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to Equip them with Christ-centered training, tools, and ongoing support. We desire to Equip them with God’s Word so they can grow in Christ and help others know and grow in Him. Empower - Once equipped, we Empower coaches and athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others. We desire to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to make disciples who do the same to others.

Global Impact 2023 - For more than 60 years, FCA has been impacting coaches and athletes for Christ across the United States. But over the past several years, a new FCA commitment to reach athletes across the world has taken shape through FCA International ministry.⁣ This summer, FCA International offered the FCA Global Impact Program geared toward college students and designed to engage them to grow in their faith in Christ, serve in sports ministry, and capture their heart for the nations. FCA Global Impact 2023 was a four-week program and this year, our Area Representative, Asia Dean, was chosen to lead a group of female collegiates on the trip to Guatemala. "Anyone who went on Global Impact would say that their experience was life-changing, and I couldn't agree more. Each day had a component of field ministry mixed with learning about FCA and how to take ministry back to their campus. These students learned how to share the gospel, share their testimony, lead small groups, grow leaders, and to serve others selflessly no matter their background. They saw how God's love crosses all borders and language barriers. Every athlete left Guatemala with a written plan on how to effectively bring Jesus to their campus. It was an honor to watch these young women fall in love with missions and ministry, but even more importantly fall more in love with Jesus." - Asia Dean, West Polk Area Representative

With the majority of athletes playing sports in the community (non-campus programs), FCA is ministering to the club, recreational, and youth sports teams with the goal of establishing on-going ministry for coaches and athletes to compete for Jesus Christ with character, passion, and excellence.

Coach is one of the most influential individuals in our society. It has been said that a coach will influence more people in one year than most people will in a lifetime. When I began attending my school’s huddle, I was shown what a true relationship with Jesus looks like - revealing my big purpose of loving others and serving the Lord with all my heart and strength. CONGRATULATIONS to our new 101 Emerging Leader Experience (ELE) Class! Our ELE Induction was an incredible evening thanks to Emily Piggott, our FCA staff, and our 201 students. Our new 101 class has grown to 19 students, who will embark on a semester of leadership training and opportunities from empowering their minds at our monthly sessions, a week at Lakeland Leadership Camp, and four days at SLU101 in Orlando! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We also recognized our first 201 group who will be attending the monthly leadership sessions, as well as, gearing up for a week at Lakeland Leadership Camp 2022 and a four-day intensive at SLU201 in Washington D.C.!
