And when you don’t feel like you’re living up to expectations, the pressure starts to build. Living up to your potential is more than what you can do on your own. There’s more to life than playing for the scoreboard. In fact, your potential shouldn’t just be measured by athletic achievements. It should be measured by who God says you are. There is a greater purpose wrapped up in your potential when your potential is wrapped up in Him.

If you’ve been around The Fellowship of Christian Athletes for any length of time, you’ve heard the words “to and through the coach.” It is the strategy through which we carry out our mission and vision. But do you understand what “to and through the coach” really means?⁣ A single coach will influence thousands of players over his/her career. FCA coaches around the world have the potential to reach millions with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But a coach cannot reach hundreds and thousands with the hope of Christ without first being reached him/herself. FCA desires to provide the coach with encouragement, hope, and solid training. After that, FCA staff continued to support the coach in reaching athletes. The coach is a vital part of the FCA ministry, and the heart of the coach is of utmost importance to our FCA staff. Life is a 24/7 grind. As an athlete, you’re always moving and there’s not much time to slow down at all for fear of losing momentum or losing ground. There’s no way to win in sports or in the game of life when you’ve stopped and everyone else is passing you by. But sometimes, you might need a do over or time to stop and get a fresh start and move in a different direction. Maybe it’s time to be still and recognize the need for a new perspective in Christ. As an athlete, a reset is a new way of thinking or doing things, which will free you up to be the best athlete, student, friend or family member that you can be.   The same is even more important for your spiritual well-being. Do you want to experience true freedom in your heart? Be still and be open to a brand-new perspective on life through the Truth found in Jesus. You can be set on a new path towards truth and freedom from the 24/7 grind if you take time to be still. When you allow God to speak to you through the Holy Spirit and through His Word, you will experience a perspective change and start a journey towards a new kind of 24/7 life.

Student leader are the life-blood of FCA huddle on campus. Our student leaders meet once a month with and FCA staff member to plan the huddles so that they students can teach, read scripture, and encourage their fellow classmates! Let's hear from a student leader:⁣ "Hey! I'm Bianca and I have been involved with the FCA Huddle at Bartow Senior High School for 3 years! My favorite part of FCA is having brother and sisters in Christ on campus who I can encourage and get encouragement from while on campus. Being a student leader in FCA means a lot because it has allowed me to step up where God leads me."

Let's welcome our FCA Campus Intern 🎉 My name is Karissa King and I'm interning with FCA this Fall in Lakeland, FL. God has called me to pursue my master's in Family Ministry at Southeastern University while using the last years of my soccer eligibility. I love all things soccer, nature, and Jesus. I'm looking forward to building more relationships and witnessing those "Jesus Moments" this season throughout our teams, classrooms, and wherever God has me go.

BARTOW FCA Student Leaders 🔥 FCA gives students in our huddles the chance to step up and lead the huddles! Once a month, they meet to plan the huddles, equip the students with resources, and empower them to invite their student body.

So, how do we begin the discipleship journey? We engage, we equip and we empower, in that order.⁣ Engage - We Engage relationally with others in a variety of environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives, and sharing the Gospel. We strive to connect with coaches and athletes where they are on their spiritual journey. Equip - After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to Equip them with Christ-centered training, tools, and ongoing support. We desire to Equip them with God’s Word so they can grow in Christ and help others know and grow in Him. Empower - Once equipped, we Empower coaches and athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others. We desire to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to make disciples who do the same to others.

Global Impact 2023 - For more than 60 years, FCA has been impacting coaches and athletes for Christ across the United States. But over the past several years, a new FCA commitment to reach athletes across the world has taken shape through FCA International ministry.⁣ This summer, FCA International offered the FCA Global Impact Program geared toward college students and designed to engage them to grow in their faith in Christ, serve in sports ministry, and capture their heart for the nations. FCA Global Impact 2023 was a four-week program and this year, our Area Representative, Asia Dean, was chosen to lead a group of female collegiates on the trip to Guatemala. "Anyone who went on Global Impact would say that their experience was life-changing, and I couldn't agree more. Each day had a component of field ministry mixed with learning about FCA and how to take ministry back to their campus. These students learned how to share the gospel, share their testimony, lead small groups, grow leaders, and to serve others selflessly no matter their background. They saw how God's love crosses all borders and language barriers. Every athlete left Guatemala with a written plan on how to effectively bring Jesus to their campus. It was an honor to watch these young women fall in love with missions and ministry, but even more importantly fall more in love with Jesus." - Asia Dean, West Polk Area Representative

FCA Fit 🏋🏽‍♀️ FCA Fit exists to move Coaches and athletes to higher performance and higher purpose. We seek to accomplish this in the physical, mental, and spiritual lives of those we serve. Our desire is to see coaches and athletes transformed by Jesus Christ through the avenue of fitness.
